The Leederville Mount Hawthorn JCC is a young, family friendly club with a wonderful atmosphere. We currently have around 300 children involved in our programs which provides us with a strong community and excellent support. Children of all ages are encouraged to enjoy active sports participation through varying forms of cricket.
2016/17 - OUR FIRST GIRLS TEAM
LMHJCC offers club based introductory programs - MILO In2Cricket & MILO T20 Blast. These programs are a great way to start a cricket journey through fun activities based
on skill development and having a go. LMHJCC has boys’ teams from U/10 to U/17 and
in 2019/20, 3 girl only teams at U/11, U/13 & U/15 level with this growing each year. We've enjoyed on-field success winning a number of premierships in our short history.
We have strong ties with the Leederville CC for our juniors to progress directly into senior cricket. Since 2012 we've had over 75 players from the juniors represent the seniors with Myles and Ashby Dennis, Jack and Lochie Hardy, Tom Matthews, Kieran Abrams, Adam D'Ascenzo, Jayden Leach, Dion, Dan and Adam Boules, Simon Homsany, Callum Reader, Tom Francis and Jack Fletcher already premiership medallion winners.
Our juniors also have the opportunity to access District cricket via our WACA affiliate,
Mt Lawley District Cricket Club. We have had many young cricketers go on to represent
us at these higher levels, including Lochie Hardy who represented WA at the National U/15 Schoolboys Carnival in Brisbane in Feb '16, was vice-captain of WA U/17s for the 2017 National Carnival and is currently playing 1st Grade WACA for Claremont Nedlands.

The family atmosphere is a fantastic tradition at the Club with balmy summer Thursday afternoons often having over 200 local mums and dads relaxing on the verandah after
a hard days work, watching (and helping!) their children keeping fit and learning cricket with their friends.

HOW IT ALL STARTED
In the winter of 2007 a few of our senior cricketers with young sons had a chat about introducing them to cricket and where would be the best place. As our beloved senior Club player demographic was ageing rather quickly we thought it might be a good idea to start a junior club of our own.
Primarily it would be a great source of joy to be able to coach our own children and the children of the area we live in and love. The senior Club paid for 16 volunteers to attend a WACA junior coaching seminar and that formed the original "batch" of coaches for those formative years.
We letterbox dropped 10,000 flyers throughout the surrounding suburbs and had our first registration day in August 2007. Not really knowing how it would fare, we were happily surprised at the response and by the time we commenced the season were a little swamped - with 150 participants to look after. We were off and running!
We won the 2007/08 Len Pavy Award as the Western Australian Junior Club of the Year - the only Club to ever have won it in their inaugural season.
This season we celebrate our 14th Anniversay and we would like to thank every mum and dad, coaches, scorers, managers, canteen helpers and siblings who've come along for the journey. Special mention goes out to Brad Ogden, Mal Adamson, Ash and Melanie Day, Mitch and Trish Hardy, Michelle Evans, Nathan Daniell, Cat O'Loughlin, Lauren and Teresa Fisher, Alex Timke, Dave Hutchison, Jen Saliacus and the many, many more that have all helped towards making "The Kings" the Club we are.
